Follow the same sequence for each case; do not add a shelf answer that the game or a reviewed source has not supported.
Move to a scattered case and use Left Click on PC or RT on console to pick it up.
Use the case title and what the game shows you. This guide does not guess a genre from artwork alone.
Look for the shelf label that matches the case genre. The official description makes genre matching the central task.
Use Left Click on PC or RT on console at the matching shelf. If you are holding several cases, cycle before placing.
Press Q on PC or B on console to drop. Use Mouse Wheel on PC or LT on console to cycle held cases.
Cycle held cases before trying the shelf again.
Check the shelf label and your pickup/place input; do not assume a nearby shelf is correct.
Use the Helper. If it has no reviewed answer, keep the placement unknown.
Pick up scattered game cases and return each one to the shelf with the matching genre label as quickly as you can.
Face the matching genre shelf and use the same pickup/place input: Left Click on PC or RT on console.
Check that you selected the intended held case, that the shelf genre matches, and that you are using the correct platform input.
Use the Case & Shelf Helper. It returns a placement only when the case, genre, shelf, source, and date have been reviewed.
Search the reviewed shelf index.
